by Mariam Abdallah, Egypt

The author lives in El-Minia and works for the “Jesuits’ and Brother’s Association for Development” which was recently burned.

Egypt is facing terrorist acts targeting government institutions and vital facilities, since the Muslim brotherhood sit-in have been broken up. They started to burn, destroy, and steal everything in their way allover Egypt as it was planned by them before to attack the police stations, churches, the governorates buildings, courts, libraries, museums, public gardens and schools.

In my governorate of El-Minia it’s almost like a ghost town especially after the curfew that was put (putting) by the government. The Muslim brotherhood burned about 6 churches (St. Tadros church, St. Moses, St. Mina, Evangelical church, apostolic church, Baptism church and other churches in the other towns in El-Minia; because it consists of  9 towns).

Also they have burned so many stores and shops which belong to Christians, 2 entertainment ships, museum, the school of the St. Joseph’s nuns, and the Jesuits’ & Brothers association for Development. Despite the curfew the Muslim brotherhood is still doing riots in the streets and destroying everything in their way.
